Quoting Abe Lincoln

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world. Abraham Lincoln

  1. Robert Burns, Scotland and the World’s Bard, gave Lincoln not only his quotes but also his life’s philosophy, which changed history. Lincoln knew all of Burns verse in his head as well as carrying his book, POEMS: CHIEFLY IN THE SCOTTISH DIALECT, in his pocket. He quoted Robert Burns on every occasion and to whom he spoke. In Lincoln’s words, "Burns never touched sentiment without carrying it to its ultimate expression and leaving nothing further to be said."
