Anything!
Some believe Ernest Hemingway was some unique prophet disguised as an alcoholic writer. Me... I don't know about that. Would be cool if it were true but no one can really say if it was or wasn't. Just like with most things.
I'd like to believe that in a couple of decades, or longer, people will be saying something similar about me and my work. If they don't... fine. I just get the strong feeling that it is a real possibility. I don't believe in much but I do believe in possibilities.
Why don't most people believe in possibilities? I suppose there's no clear cut general answer.
A few years back I started paying more attention to the evening sky. I don't know what prompted it. I just all of a sudden felt like watching the stars one evening.
Those giant balls of gas hardly get the recognition they deserve. I mean... they are capable of existing for thousands or even millions of years! Could you imagine what that must be like? Of course not! We humans are only capable of seeing and believing what's right in our direct line of sight.
If you could live to be say oh 1,000 years old how would you spend most of your life? If your answer has anything to do with accumulating a vast fortune or any other sort of material gain I am sorry to say that I personally believe your answer is far too one sided to be even remotely "realistic."
We're talking about 1,000 years here! 1,000 years old! As it stands right now the average life expectancy of a semi-healthy human being is between 75-78 years of age. Yet, somehow most people still find it necessary to cling to very superficial and impermanent things.
Life is indeed short. We ALL know this! But the majority of us also blatantly choose to deny this fact!
So, how has mankind spent most of its existence? We've spent many centuries conquering one another, oppressing one another, violently abusing each other, starting wars, causing famine, causing disease, causing general disorder and mayhem within our own cities etc. etc.
I guess it's no real wonder why we have trouble believing in possibilities. Though, I do believe it is a serious issue that should be discussed at great length with every individual.
Granted, that's just my personal belief and/or opinion.
I do, however, also believe that multiple choices/possibilities are available to us in any given moment. Yes, it is ultimately up to each of us to make our own decisions. Just remember this:
Every choice we make leads to more choices and options and introduces us to people who must also choose which path to follow. And their choice may or may not be based on your choice. If we cut out all the middle work we will find that ALL paths are interconnected and interdependent.
One person can make a difference but an entire planet of people can accomplish anything! ANYTHING!

We All Gotta'
We all gotta' love each other! You can deny it all you want and say it is a "crazy" idea but it won't change the fact that we all just gotta' love each other!

Complete
You do not make sense when compromised by allegorical fantastical fables created by transnational capitalists. Sure seems like the second coming of rice pudding in your suede pants but oh you couldn't be any more right. The sun is a beauty of which we doubt retroactively.
People call me Bryan but my name is not Bryan! Is it really so hard to pronounce RYAN?! What is that they are thinking of the live long day? Oh wait.... I guess the latest newest same old smartphone is more important than committing my name to memory. It makes sense, yes. No!
But whatever. Whatnot. I promise to only care about my own interests so long as people keep forgetting my name. Please... please do not pity me. I don't mean to sound pitiful or decompressed. I only wish to make my frustrations known and unknown and then if time allows... known once more.
Stare intently down a darkened well and you will only begin to understand a tenth of what I am alluding to. Our biological makeup persists, further. Furthermore, when will all these self important pop stars stop showing off their genitalia?
The human mind mimics that which we inhabit. By which I mean our beautiful planet. I do not wish to go off on some long, long descriptive romantic tangent here. Maybe I should, but I won't. No, not yet.
We've all got desires. You know what I mean! Desires are those things that we really don't need but yet somehow we feel like life would have no meaning without them. And I don't just mean superficial things like money and steamy sex.
Let's face it, if you don't know what desires are then you probably shouldn't have them. Complete.

Nothing Could Be Further
When I think of all the cosmic bullshit that most of us contend with on a daily basis it almost makes me glad I am not living as an amoeba or bacteria of sorts. Seriously, if we could only focus on something much more worthwhile other than gadgetry and popularity I know for certain that our evolution would skyrocket to phenomenal proportions.
Now I know I'm not just running off my mind's thoughts here. They are everyone's thoughts! We all pretty much think the same, act the same and breathe the same air. This you cannot even pretend to deny. Most of our habits are habitual by nature.
I am proud to be Human! Even if most Humans aren't proud themselves. It's understandable but not viable. Sure, bad stuff happens and can often put a damper on our mood but so what. The second we give in to the bad stuff is the second we convince ourselves that we're not spectacular.
And nothing could be further from the truth!

Our Own
It's our own damn fault. Our own fault for turning killers into t.v. stars. Our own fault for valuing materialism over humanity. Our own fault for feeling so insecure and paranoid that we arm ourselves with more weapons than an individual needs. Our own fault for insulting each other and pushing each other away. But most of all it is our own damn fault for believing we are separate from everything and everyone! WE ARE ALL INTERCONNECTED AND INTERDEPENDENT! How many times must this be said until it finally sinks in? We help one another survive!

Human Rhyme
time is subtle
Long ago
We gave
A Damn
Some might say
A God Damn
Others
Might
Uncloak
Their daggers
and stab some
Tropical citrus fruit
Before
Displacing
Any sanity
Then the purple
Purple rain
Drowns Us
Floods
The entire world
Not biblical style
No!
Because
The Universe
knows how ignorant
We tend to be
... time... time
Does not tick
Clocks
are not time machines!
WE
Are the perceivers
because
time needs to pass subtly
Imperceptibly
With or without
.....

Only You
Today, I do not ascribe to any religious denomination. It doesn't mean I don't believe in a source or creator of everything. I do believe that all of the magnificent energy that created our entire existence came from somewhere. But whoever or where ever it came from will most likely continue to allude us until we are able to set aside all egoistic constructs. It is our differences that make us uniquely strong. Each of us has our own path to follow. Each of us must respect each individual journey. And whenever we find ourselves bumping into each other we must do our best to resolve whatever conflicts may arise. If no resolution can be found then we must move on.
There's no need to complicate things. All the details are intricately laid out before us. It is just a matter of deciding what you want out of life and taking the necessary steps. During times of stress, just remind yourself that only YOU know what's best for YOU. :-)

We Are Zen
Too late, too late. Too late to give a damn. Too late to pay attention to all of the magnificent things that surround you. Forever is the ticket. Time is the enemy. No sense in working within time's disorganized frame.
We time travel on a daily basis. You could say that our entire existence is based on our ability to traverse many decades and eras. You could say a lot of things but for sanity's sake you don't.
Vapidness consumes the populace. With or without consent. Much in the same way a body of government "governs" its citizens. Have you ever examined the word citizen? No you haven't. It consists of the words 'city' and 'zen'. Yes... zen! It is within our very nature to be tranquil.
Seems as though most of us run away from our true nature. Either because it scares us or because we know what an inconvenience it can be. I am here to say that it is not, nor has it ever been, an inconvenience. Don't believe me? Fine. The least you can do is take a few minutes out of your day to ponder the state of things.
One night, not too long ago, I camped underneath a clear starry sky. I had every intention of drinking too much and passing out that night but something within me caused me to pause a minute and look up at Orion's Belt. Each star twinkled in unison. It was almost as if they twinkled just for me. Me and the entire human race.
Then I looked at the Moon and did my best to inhale it's divine glow. Why does it glow so luminously? Was there ever a time when it didn't glow? Perhaps it too glows for us. Granted, I know there is some sort of long scientific explanation as to why it glows but I prefer my own interpretation.
For you see, existence cannot exist without something or someone living within it. The Universe would not be the Universe without us. And even if it could it would not be able to be the same Universe. It would be something else entirely.
We help each other evolve in many ways. And every time we learn something or have an enjoyable experience we automatically add to the collective stream of experience. This is more than a theory.
Is it really too late to give a damn? Maybe. It still would not change our perpetual movement towards some infinite realm of enlightenment. We are human. We are zen.

Will
Food is expensive. Shelter is expensive. Jobs are expensive. Relationships are expensive. Taxes are senseless. Politics are even more senseless. Paper laws were made to be torn apart by steel rebellions. The will of (hu)man is eternal.

Arrogant Sigh
My brain is perplexed by
Your Worriment
Yellow skies translate
Human lies
Into what they so
Obviously represent
Regret
Regret
Nominal creations
Fortify what gets left behind
By the wasted sigh
Is it unnerving to you?
How undeserving of you
To believe yourself
The only species
Capable of
Understanding
Consciousness
My brain is perplexed
By your allegorical
Arrogance

Pretty Engaging
Someone once told me it is better to want to know who you are than not have any clue or desire. I don't recall who it was that said this but he was pretty engaging. Next thing I knew I was soaring up over the highest mountains and the thickest arrogance.
A part of me remains with the human race. But my majority surrounds the ether of all existence.

Potential Reality
This "reality" we all live in is not the only one that is possible. Imagine all the unforeseen forces and energies that must pass through us simultaneously at the speed of light and faster. We need not know all of them but rest assured they know all about us. Of course, they are not physical nor flesh and do not look upon us with the same contempt as we look upon ourselves.
We believe we are inferior or superior to most. But we are all equal; inescapably equal. No human can ever maintain permanent control over another human. It is just not possible. The unforeseen want us to understand this and embrace this. But they know we must each be willing and open to such a philosophy. The upside... every being throughout the Universe inevitably comes to a profound awakening of the Heart, Mind and Soul.
Don't ever think for one micro-second that you are worthless. That is the biggest absurdity to ever be thought! We are alive because we need to be. Because existence wills it and we continue to meticulously craft it. Whatever you think reality is supposed to be there is always a brighter one awaiting us. Never stop believing in the quality of human potential.

The Natural State of Existence
Let go of Fear. Let go of Hate. Plenty of new remarkable energies are enveloping Mother Earth during this very crucial stage of Human evolution. You need not believe in anything but the wisdom within. If you do not trust your own wisdom you can rely on your heart. If you do not trust your heart... prepare to have your entire perspective blown away and changed for the better. If after you read this you still are not convinced just repeat this mantra: All will be well. All will be well. Harmony is the natural state of existence.

Really Important Lyrics (From Song By Muse)
The P.R. transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs, keep us all dumbed down
And hope that we will never see the truth around
So come on
Another promise, another scene, another
Packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed with all the
Green belts wrapped around our minds and endless
Red tape to keep the truth confined, so come on
They will not force us
And they will stop degrading us
And they will not control us
We will be victorious, so come on
Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take its toll
If you could flick a switch and open your third eye
You'd see that we should never be afraid to die
So come on
Rise up and take the power back
It's time the fat cats had a heart attack
You know that their time is coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend
